The same UV ink can look different depending on the material being marked, the amount of ink applied and the light around it.

The impression is designed to be much less conspicuous than a conventional coloured mark. Complete invisibility is not guaranteed: a faint tint can remain on some materials or in some lighting.

The fluorescent ink becomes much easier to see when illuminated with a suitable UV or blacklight source. A darker environment can make the effect easier to view.

Testing & very occasional use
A compact quantity for initial testing, occasional marking or customers who only need to replenish a compatible pad infrequently.
Light or occasional use
A practical option for customers using UV ink occasionally or maintaining a smaller number of compatible pads.
Regular use
A useful middle-ground size for regular UV marking and routine pad replenishment.
Frequent use
The larger option for customers using UV ink regularly or replenishing compatible pads more frequently.
UV ink is not automatically suitable for every stamp, cartridge or surface. A clean, dedicated compatible pad gives you the best starting point.
A new dry pad avoids contamination from ordinary coloured ink and gives you a controlled starting point.
Add a small amount evenly, allow it to distribute through the pad and make a test impression. Avoid saturating the pad.
A suitable UV torch or lamp is needed to check fluorescence. Ambient light and the UV source both affect what you see.
These are practical examples rather than guarantees of suitability or approval for a particular process.
Security marking, document identification, packaging references, stock and inventory marks.
Event admission or re-entry, membership and access applications where the chosen surface and checking process have been tested.
Inspection marks, discreet references and internal process identification.
Absorbent matt paper, untreated card and paper labels are useful starting points. Always test the material you intend to mark.
Let a test impression dry, inspect it in ordinary light and under your UV light, then check for smearing or rubbing. Short wording, simple symbols and clear batch references are easier to assess than dense artwork.
Glossy, coated or laminated stock, plastic, glass and metal can behave unpredictably. Do not assume suitability: test the exact surface and ask about compatibility before relying on the impression.
Important: Results can vary by surface. Porous and non-porous materials can behave differently, so test uncertain materials first. UV ink is not guaranteed to be completely invisible in every lighting condition, and a UV torch or lamp is not included unless this product listing specifically says so.
