When to replace the ink pad

Faint impressions

If the ink supply is running low, a fresh matching pad can restore a clearer impression. Check the text plate is clean and the pad is seated correctly.

A different colour

Use a separate compatible pad when changing colour. Check the product’s current options and clean residual ink from the text plate.

A new text plate

The old design can leave an indentation in the pad. Pair a replacement text plate with a new pad for more even contact.

Check the surface as well as the stamp. Standard pre-inked cartridge colours are intended for absorbent, uncoated paper and card. For glossy packaging, fabric or other specialist uses, confirm a suitable ink system before ordering.

How do I find my COLOP stamp model?

Look for the model printed on the stamp body and the E/ code on the end or casing of the old cartridge. Include every letter and number, such as Q, C/Compact, Dater or an S-number.

Will a similar-looking cartridge fit?

Match the complete cartridge code and the referenced compatible stamp product. Similar dimensions do not guarantee a correct fit.

Which colours can I order?

Each product page shows its current option values. Choose an available option before adding it to your basket.

What does Dry – No Ink mean?

The pad is supplied without ink. Choose it only when you intend to add an ink confirmed as compatible with the cartridge, rubber text plate and intended stamping surface.

Can standard cartridge ink stamp glossy packaging?

No. Standard pre-inked cartridge colours are water-based and intended for absorbent matt, uncoated paper and card. Glossy, coated and non-porous surfaces require a separately confirmed ink system.

Should I replace the pad when changing the rubber text plate?

Yes. The old text plate can leave a lasting impression in the pad surface, which may ink a new design unevenly. A new matching cartridge helps the replacement text plate produce a consistent impression.
