Keep the mark bold and testable
UV fluorescence can make very fine detail bloom or merge. A simple one-colour design usually verifies more reliably than a dense layout.

Surface suitability
Test the real material before rollout
COLOP's UV ink guidance favours paper and similar absorbent materials. Drying, visibility and resistance vary with the surface, lighting and handling.
Best starting point
Matt, absorbent paper, card and untreated labels normally accept the impression most predictably. Test for visibility in ordinary light and fluorescence under the actual UV light you will use.
Needs specific testing
Glossy paper, coated card, laminated stock, plastic, metal and other non-porous surfaces can smudge, bead or wipe away. Do not promise suitability until a sample has dried and passed the required handling test.

Is the UV impression completely invisible?
The ink is intended to be inconspicuous in ordinary light and fluorescent under a suitable UV/black light. A faint tint can remain depending on the surface, lighting, amount of ink transferred and viewing angle, so test the intended material first.
Which surfaces work best?
Matt, absorbent paper, card and untreated labels are the best starting point. Glossy, coated and non-porous surfaces can smudge or behave unpredictably and require a real sample test before use.
Do I need a UV torch?
Yes. A suitable UV or black light is required to reveal and verify the impression.
Can I upload a logo or QR code?
Bold logos and simple identifiers are suitable. A QR code needs a sufficiently large model, open modules, strong UV illumination and physical testing on the intended surface. Do not rely on an untested UV QR code as the only critical verification method.
How do I choose the right size?
Measure the intended stamping space and choose the smallest format that keeps every important element bold and legible. Square Q models suit balanced marks; rectangular C models suit wording and horizontal logos.
Does a UV stamp prevent theft or fraud?
No single stamp can guarantee prevention. A personalised UV mark can support identification, deterrence and checking, but it should form part of the wider security, record-keeping or verification process.
