Cleaner artwork · cleaner impressions

How should I prepare my logo?

Get a cleaner stamp result by uploading clear, suitable artwork. Start with the best logo file you have and use this guide to avoid the problems that make fine detail difficult to reproduce.

Upload the best file you have. Every custom design is reviewed before manufacture, and Stamp Ninja will contact you if the artwork or chosen size is likely to affect the result.

V
Vector is best

PDF, SVG, EPS or AI normally preserves edges and proportions most cleanly.

B/W
High contrast matters

A conventional stamp reproduces ink or no ink—not continuous colour and shading.

Use the original file

Upload the largest, clearest source rather than a screenshot or social-media thumbnail.

Artwork checked

Stamp Ninja reviews custom artwork before it moves into production.

Start with the strongest source

Upload the best logo file you have

A clean original gives Stamp Ninja more useful information than an enlarged copy. Do not worry if you are unsure which format is best—the aim is simply to avoid throwing detail away before the artwork is checked.

Vector artwork is the preferred starting point

Vector shapes can be resized without becoming pixelated, so curves, lettering and linework normally remain cleaner at the finished stamp size.

  • Send the original exported file where possible
  • Keep text converted to outlines if the design depends on a specialist font
  • If the product uploader rejects the format, use a high-resolution PNG and retain the vector original

A large, sharp image can still work well

If you do not have vector artwork, upload the biggest and clearest version available. A transparent-background PNG is helpful, but image clarity matters more than simply changing the file extension.

  • Use the original export rather than a screenshot
  • Avoid logos saved from social media or messaging previews
  • Do not artificially enlarge a tiny image—it adds pixels, not real detail

The key artwork rule

A rubber stamp works as ink or no ink

A colour printer can reproduce gradients, shadows, transparency and photographs. A conventional rubber stamp normally converts the design into solid printing and non-printing areas. Different logo colours do not become separate shades in a single-colour impression.

Upload your normal colour logo if that is the best file you have. Stamp Ninja can assess how it will translate, but some effects may need to be removed or simplified.

Possible stamp interpretation

Clarity at the real impression size

Four details decide how well a logo stamps

LINE

Line thickness

Extremely thin strokes may look perfect on a large screen but become weak or close up when reduced and stamped with ink.

TEXT

Small lettering

Taglines, registration text and tiny contact details need enough physical height and spacing to remain readable.

GAP

Clear spacing

Narrow gaps between letters or shapes can fill with ink. Open space helps the impression stay recognisable.

SIZE

Stamp dimensions

A detailed logo may need a larger impression. Judge the artwork against the stated impression size, not the size of the stamp body.

A quick self-check

What usually works—and what needs reviewing

Strong starting artwork

  • Original vector or large high-resolution file
  • Bold, clean shapes with clear gaps
  • Readable lettering at the intended stamp size
  • Little or no reliance on gradients and shadows
  • Correct proportions with no stretching or distortion

!Artwork that may need adjustment

  • Screenshot, thumbnail or heavily compressed JPG
  • Photograph or photo-based emblem
  • Very fine hairlines, dense detail or tiny text
  • Several colours that only work because of tonal contrast
  • Logo placed inside a large unnecessary white background

What happens after upload

From your file to production-ready stamp artwork

1

Choose the stamp

Select a shape and impression size that gives the logo enough room to remain clear.

2

Upload and preview

Add the best available logo file in the product personaliser and check its position, scale and proportions.

3

Artwork is reviewed

Stamp Ninja checks whether the design can be converted and reproduced reliably at the chosen size.

4

Production begins

If a material problem is found, Stamp Ninja will contact you before manufacture. Otherwise the approved artwork moves into production.

A more detailed logo often needs a larger stamp

Do not choose purely by price or stamp-body dimensions. Compare the actual impression sizes and allow space for thin lettering, close shapes and any supporting text.

Logo artwork questions

Can I upload a colour logo?

Yes. Upload the best original logo file you have. A conventional rubber stamp normally reproduces the design as solid ink and no ink, so colours, gradients and shadows may need to be converted or simplified.

Which file format is best?

Vector PDF, SVG, EPS or AI artwork is preferred because it can be resized without pixelation. If the product uploader does not accept your vector format, use a large high-resolution PNG and retain the original vector file.

Can you use a JPG or PNG?

Often, yes. Send the largest and sharpest version available. A transparent PNG can be particularly useful. Avoid screenshots, thumbnails and images saved from social media where possible.

Can a photograph or gradient be made into a stamp?

Photographs, gradients, shadows and transparency cannot normally be reproduced directly by a conventional solid rubber stamp. The artwork may need to be converted or simplified into clear printing and non-printing areas.

How do I know whether my logo has too much detail?

View it close to the intended physical impression size. Tiny lettering, hairline strokes and narrow gaps are warning signs. A larger stamp may preserve the design better.

Will Stamp Ninja check my artwork?

Yes. Every custom design is reviewed before manufacture. If the file, layout or chosen stamp size is likely to affect the result, Stamp Ninja will contact you before production begins.
