Discreet marking, revealed on demand. Fluorescent UV security stamp ink that stays low-key in ordinary light and shows up under a suitable UV or blacklight.

  • Use with: Suitable rubber stamps and compatible stamp pads. A clean or dedicated pad gives the cleanest result, as leftover coloured ink can affect the UV ink.
  • Good to know: The mark is low-visibility in ordinary light, but complete invisibility can't be guaranteed. Results vary with the material, lighting, amount of ink and UV source, so test first. A UV torch or lamp isn't included.

What to expect from the mark

The same UV ink can look different depending on the material being marked, the amount of ink applied and the light around it.

UV ink impression in ordinary light

Normal light

The impression is designed to be much less conspicuous than a conventional coloured mark. Complete invisibility is not guaranteed: a faint tint can remain on some materials or in some lighting.

UV ink impression revealed under suitable ultraviolet light

Under suitable UV light

The fluorescent ink becomes much easier to see when illuminated with a suitable UV or blacklight source. A darker environment can make the effect easier to view.

Choose the practical bottle size

Choose according to how frequently you replenish compatible pads. Your selected size is highlighted below; use the product options above to change it.

10ml

Testing & very occasional use

A compact quantity for initial testing, occasional marking or customers who only need to replenish a compatible pad infrequently.

30ml

Light or occasional use

A practical option for customers using UV ink occasionally or maintaining a smaller number of compatible pads.

Selected size

50ml

Regular use

A useful middle-ground size for regular UV marking and routine pad replenishment.

100ml

Frequent use

The larger option for customers using UV ink regularly or replenishing compatible pads more frequently.

Set up suitable equipment

UV ink is not automatically suitable for every stamp, cartridge or surface. A clean, dedicated compatible pad gives you the best starting point.

Use a new dry pad

A new dry pad avoids contamination from ordinary coloured ink and gives you a controlled starting point.

Apply ink gradually

Add a small amount evenly, allow it to distribute through the pad and make a test impression. Avoid saturating the pad.

Check under UV light

A suitable UV torch or lamp is needed to check fluorescence. Ambient light and the UV source both affect what you see.

Where UV marking can help

These are practical examples rather than guarantees of suitability or approval for a particular process.

Identification

Security marking, document identification, packaging references, stock and inventory marks.

Access and events

Event admission or re-entry, membership and access applications where the chosen surface and checking process have been tested.

Internal control

Inspection marks, discreet references and internal process identification.

Start with the surface

Absorbent matt paper, untreated card and paper labels are useful starting points. Always test the material you intend to mark.

Check the full result

Let a test impression dry, inspect it in ordinary light and under your UV light, then check for smearing or rubbing. Short wording, simple symbols and clear batch references are easier to assess than dense artwork.

Coated and non-porous materials

Glossy, coated or laminated stock, plastic, glass and metal can behave unpredictably. Do not assume suitability: test the exact surface and ask about compatibility before relying on the impression.

Important: Results can vary by surface. Porous and non-porous materials can behave differently, so test uncertain materials first. UV ink is not guaranteed to be completely invisible in every lighting condition, and a UV torch or lamp is not included unless this product listing specifically says so.

UV ink questions

What bottle sizes are available?

10ml, 30ml, 50ml and 100ml. Current availability is shown by the product options and your selection above.

Which bottle size should I choose?
  • 10ml: A compact quantity for initial testing, occasional marking or customers who only need to replenish a compatible pad infrequently.
  • 30ml: A practical option for customers using UV ink occasionally or maintaining a smaller number of compatible pads.
  • 50ml: A useful middle-ground size for regular UV marking and routine pad replenishment.
  • 100ml: The larger option for customers using UV ink regularly or replenishing compatible pads more frequently.
Is UV ink completely invisible?

No. The mark is intended to be almost invisible in ordinary light, but a faint tint can remain. Material, lighting and the amount of ink affect the result.

Do I need a UV light?

Yes. Use a suitable UV torch or lamp to reveal and inspect the impression. A UV light is not included unless the product listing specifically says so.

Should I use a clean pad?

Use a clean or dedicated compatible pad. Residual coloured ink can affect the result. Add small amounts evenly, allow the ink to distribute and test before replenishing further.

Can I use it on any surface or on skin?

No. Test the intended surface and equipment. Do not use on skin or for food-contact applications unless the exact ink is expressly approved for that use.

Can Stamp Ninja advise on compatibility?

Contact Stamp Ninja with your stamp model, pad and intended surface for practical guidance.
