Exact fit

Compatible COLOP stamp models

Use this list together with the model printed on your stamp body. Similar dimensions do not make a cartridge interchangeable.

This E/20 pack fits

  • Printer 20
  • Printer C 20 / Compact 20

Do not substitute a similar code

This is a rectangular-family cartridge. A square E/Q cartridge with the same number is a different shape and fit.

The textile/fabric-marking option is a specific live E/20 variant. Select it explicitly when that is the intended application.

Match ink to the surface

Standard pre-inked colours are water-based and intended for absorbent matt, uncoated paper and card. Do not use them as a general solution for glossy packaging, coated stock, plastic, metal or other non-porous surfaces.

E/20 note: use the specifically named textile/fabric-marking black variant for the intended fabric-marking application; the ordinary colour variants remain for paper and card.

Dry – No Ink: supplied uninked. Add only an ink confirmed as compatible with the pad, rubber text plate and intended surface.

Clean replacement

How to change the cartridge

Work over scrap paper and avoid touching the inked pad surface. Exact lock positions vary slightly by stamp model.

1

Compress slightly

Press the stamp down only a few millimetres—just enough to release pressure from the cartridge.

2

Lock the position

Use the side locks while the stamp is held slightly compressed. Keep fingers clear of the rubber text plate.

3

Slide pads across

Push the old cartridge out from one side while guiding the new E/20 pad in with the inked face down.

4

Unlock and test

Release the locks, make several impressions on scrap paper and allow the ink to distribute evenly.

If the impression is still patchy

Check that the cartridge is fully seated and correctly oriented. Remove dried paper fibres or debris from the rubber text plate carefully, then test again without adding excess ink.

Replacing the rubber text plate too?

Fit a fresh matching cartridge at the same time. The previous design can leave a lasting depression in the old pad and cause uneven inking on the new text plate.

Useful answers

Replacement cartridge questions

How many replacement pads are included?

This product is currently sold as a pack of three genuine COLOP replacement pads. Check the quantity and selected colour shown in the basket before completing the order.

Will a similar-size cartridge fit my stamp?

Not necessarily. Match the complete E/ code and exact stamp model. The casing, rails and depth can differ even when two pads look similar or produce a similar impression size.

What surfaces suit the standard ink?

Standard pre-inked colours are water-based and intended for absorbent matt, uncoated paper and card. They are not a general solution for glossy, coated or non-porous surfaces.

What does Dry – No Ink mean?

The cartridge is supplied without ink. Add only an ink confirmed as compatible with the pad, rubber text plate and intended surface; an unsuitable ink can damage the stamp or produce poor impressions.

Can I re-ink the old cartridge instead?

A fresh matching pad gives more even ink distribution and avoids overfilling. COLOP recommends replacing the cartridge rather than repeatedly refilling an old, compressed or contaminated pad.

Why replace the pad with a new text plate?

The previous rubber design can leave a lasting depression in the pad surface. A new cartridge helps ink the replacement text plate evenly from the first impression.
